Cokesbury Cabin is a cozy log cabin tucked away from the main stream but just stone throw away from the lake and all the activities that Lake Junaluska has to offer.
The cabin has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed.
The front bedroom has a comfy day bed and trundle bed. The back bedroom has 2 twin beds and bunk beds. There is also a sofa bed in the family room. Cokesbury Cabin can sleep 10 people.
Within walking distance of the cabin, you can enjoy the festivities of Lake Junaluska at Stuart Auditorium, The Memorial Chapel, and the Harrell Center. Also, you may want to browse in the Cokesbury Bookstore for gifts, music, and spiritual growth materials. In addition, the Lake Junaluska Heritage Center is located in the Harrell center. The Heritage center has many artifacts and educational information about the history of Lake Junaluska. In addition, you may want to peruse the fabulous Methodist Museum.
There is a paved walking trail that encircles Lake Junaluska. There are many things to see along the trail including the Rose Walk, which is filled with gorgeous roses and a breathtaking waterfall. There are many varieties of flowers and indigenous plants along the trail as well. The pinnacle of the hike will be standing up by the huge 25 foot cross and gazing out upon Lake Junaluska. If you are up for a more challenging hike, the Blue Ridge Parkway is only a mere 20 minutes from the cabin.
You can venture into the town of Waynesville, which is only four miles from the cabin. There you will find many unique stores including the Mast General Store and Affairs of the Heart. If you are a chocolate lover, make sure to visit the Chocolate Bear. There are many galleries filled with art that is crafted by local artisans. Maggie Valley is just 5 miles from the cabin. The streets are lined with cute shops filled with gifts and souvenirs. Make sure to visit Cabbage Rose which is a wonderful shop filled with Christmas décor, jewelry and Vera Bradley purses and accessories.
The cabin is close to many area attractions including the Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock, Ghost Town, Cherokee, White Water Rafting, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky National Park, Lake Lure, Cataloochee Ski Resort, Asheville, Championship Golf Courses, Antique Shops, Fine Restaurants, Hiking Trails, Biking Trails, and Great Smoky Railway.
